LOS ANGELES, CA, May 19, 2003 The musical super-trio Crosby, Stills, &
Nash(CSN) take to the road once again at month's end to launch an
extensive 2003 North American tour with an itinerary running through
September. The major outing kicks off May 31 at Las Vegas' Aladdin
Theater, and winds its way coast-to-coast, wrapping its approximately four
month domestic and Canadian schedule with a September 19 show at Chastain
Park in Atlanta, GA.
The latest tour information, update, and additions can be found online at
crosbystillsnash.com.
This is the threesome's first full-scale tour since late 2001, though in
2002 they were on the road for several months with Crosby, Stills, Nash
& Young's acclaimed "Tour Of America." Longtime manager
Gerry Tolman commented, "CSN's 2003 show is an awesome musical
experience. They are in absolute peak form, their harmonies and songs
sound just amazing, and we are extremely excited that CF Martin Guitars
have come aboard as a supporting sponsor for the tour."
When David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash formed their now
legendary partnership in 1968, each member came from their own hugely
popular bandCrosby from The Byrds, Nash from The Hollies, and Stills from
Buffalo Springfield. CSN, their new venture, immediately became something
greater than the sum of its parts, and time has proved them to be truly
era-defining artists, perhaps the single most influential act,
historically, from the original Woodstock alumni. Last year, their
self-titled 1969 debut LPa #1 album that introduced "Suite: Judy Blue
Eyes," "Marrakesh Express," "Guinnevere," "Wooden
Ships," "Long Time Gone," and "49 Bye Byes,"
among other classic tracks was certified 4X platinum, as CSN's music
continues to reach new generations.
In addition to their enduring work touring and recording as "three
together"and sometimes four, with their CSNY incarnation--Crosby,
Stills and Nash each are involved with individual endeavors. Stephen
Stills is finishing up a long-awaited solo album slated for release later
this year, and has been touring on his own. David Crosby has also been
performing solo concerts, and is continuing work on his filmed documentary
Stand And Be Counted. Graham Nash's 2002 solo effort Songs For
Survivorsthe first album by a major artist to premiere in 5.1 DVD-A prior
to its stereo release won widespread critical acclaim and multiple audio
industry awards. Last year as well, Nash's Manuscript Originals
published Off The Record: Songwriters On Songwriting, a coffee-table
volume featuring interviews with 25 composers, and forthcoming is Eye To
Eye, a book of his fine art photography. Nash also recently
collaborated with Crosby on the 5.1 mix, for DTS Entertainment, of Another
Stoney Evening, capturing one of the duo's 1970 concerts.
Whatever solo passions they may pursue, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and
Graham Nash will always return to the ever-renewing artistic partnership
that has delivered many of the best loved and known songs in the history
of rock 'n roll. On record, their music is timeless. In
concert, and on CSN's 2003 Tour, it's an unforgettable experience.
Crosby, Stills & Nash will generously donate a portion of the proceeds
from their 2003 tour to a number of environmental and social change
organizations that the group supports. For more information, go to www.GuacFund.org
